YOU WILL GET THERE!

5th JUNE 2023

“A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?” – Proverbs 20:24

It is a mystery to see how we can move through life towards our destiny; no matter how long it takes, we eventually get there, except in some instances where we are prevented from realizing our future due to certain hindrances, usually beyond our control.  For instance, Moses could not enter the promised land because God prevented him.

Today’s scripture tells us that it is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life, then, remains a mystery! How then can anyone understand their own way? Whenever I feel lost or can’t see a way forward, I think of that verse.

Another piece of the scripture that stuns me often is; Isaiah 55:8, which says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord.” How do we know where God is leading us? But what you must quickly understand is that God orders our steps in line with His decree for us, because we must experience life as decreed by Him.

Therefore, it is the declarations of the Lord that stands! Not that of the enemy!  Jesus has already conquered the enemy and every adversary for us. What mandate do you have? Or what is our mission in life? How do we ensure that we get to our goal without ending up like Moses?

For God to lead us straight to our goals, we must be steadfast with Him in terms of obedience to His commands. The fulfillment of God’s promises is linked up with our obedience. (Deuteronomy 5:33). Secondly, we must avoid the following traps:

1.     Do not ignore discipline (Hebrews 12:11)

2.     must seek accountability and wise counsel (proverbs 11:14)

3.     Don’t be scared to invest time and resources.

It is time to start the race properly. You definitely will get to your goals this time!

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray this day for the spirit of obedience. Give me the heart to fulfill your commandments so that I may achieve my life’s goals and mission. Thank you, Father, for showing the way. AMEN.
