YOUR MENTAL HEALTH AND BALANCE

9th MARCH 2023

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” – Philippians 4:8

One of the greatest wonders among the things that God created is you. From the outside, you are endowed with a physical body; on the inside lies the spiritual You, which hears directly from God. Your mind is configured to attract all manner of impressions, whether negative or positive. While God has the power to control what you can attract through your mind power, He usually does not do that, as He already gave you free will to act as you desire.

However, there are occasions when we experience a state of mental imbalance, such as when we are mentally poisoned. Mental poisoning, therefore, is a state of psychological and emotional imbalance that tends to place anyone in a perpetual state of disharmony or failure. Anger, hatred, envy, ill wishes, and the like are destructive to the emotional and psychological states of a person.

For example, it has been scientifically proven that thoughts of extreme anger can poison the blood, and many of the diseases that we suffer begin this way. So, it’s logical to say that putting our thoughts into check can actually make us healthier. What you allow into your mind determines either your success or failure rates.

Negative thoughts create a negative shift in your mental balance. You experience the things you believe in! The Bible says in Proverbs 15:14, thus; “A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash” Therefore, you can either feed on truth or trash.

Whatever you choose to feed your mind is what is going to happen in your life. — Garbage in, garbage out. If you want to be wise, you’ve got to feed every day on knowledge of the truth, not trash or lies, and deceits. If you want to be rich, start to see, visualize and imagine yourself as rich already.

From this day onward, try to seal off your mind against negative assumptions, fear, anxiety, worries, envy, hatred, self-righteousness, etc. Beloved, take note that there is a replay mode in you that tends to replay your mind’s content, over and over, until it becomes a part of your life.  Therefore, do not allow anything negative to become part of your life.

The word of God is telling us today to focus our minds on truth and other nobler things in life. It’s better to engulf your mind with positive thoughts rather than get controlled by negative assumptions and monumental falsehood. Awake to the reality of life; you are what you think! Feed yourself with the positive things of life, and see them manifest in your life, now!

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I submit my heart and mind to you today for purification. Lord, take possession of my mind and infuse me with your truth. Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I overcome every infirmity and weakness caused to my life as a result of wrong and impure thoughts.  Guide me henceforth into perfection. AMEN.
