DO YOUR PART!

23rd MAY 2020

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”- Numbers 23:19

Some people do not believe in themselves as capable of any significant achievement. They do not believe that as an image of God, God gave everybody the power to succeed! They also do not believe that God has any role to play in human endeavors. The reason why there are so many arguments on the role of God in human endeavor is due to the fact that the nature of God is still lost on many of us. Today’s word tells us that God is neither a man nor a human being. Therefore, God does not have the attributes of man. Neither does God have moral inclination like a man. This devotional is not to dissect the nature of God, but to remind us that God does whatever He says, and His promises do not fail. In this devotional however, I would like you to have the picture of God as that of Spirit who lives in you; giving you life, light, love, and He is constantly keeping your vital organs working harmoniously. Therefore, without God, you won’t be alive, let alone do anything in terms of creating a good life. Getting God to work for us or to agree with us in the positive things we plan to achieve has much to do with our determination, and readiness to believe that we can do all things by the power of God in us. God has already given us His divine will to succeed in life, but it is left for us to align with His will by believing in ourselves in relation to the abilities and talents that God gave to each person. Also, remember that God’s spirit and power dwell in us already! Therefore, you must believe in God because of who and what He has created you to be. At all times, you must chart your course in life using the power of God in you. Ask yourself today; ‘Do I have what it takes to manifest the promises of God in my life’? The answer is a resounding YES! You do possess everything to manifest the promises of God in your life. Therefore, you must believe in that fact! However, if you are still unable to live a fulfilled life, it’s probably because your mind is still unable to comprehend the truth of the power that lies in you and that you can take authority with God to actualize your goals. All that is required is to step into the divine authority and power that God already gave to you and pursue every of your endeavor with determination to succeed. However, one very important fact to note is that; it is ONLY when you are ready to move forward with great plans and ideas that God will swing into action to work with you to achieve your plans. It is true that when God makes a promise, He would fulfill it. Whatever God says He would do, that would He do! But you must be ready to make up your mind to receive from God, or succeed in life, or to move forward to greater heights with Him. When a baby learns to walk for the first time, he simply picks up boldness and courage with determination to walk! Everything a child needs to walk or grow into adulthood is already programmed in him from birth! When you decide to move forward in life, God moves with you simultaneously to manifest your plans. Your determination to succeed is actually fueled by the power of God in you. There are no doubts that sometimes, we move forward with our ideas and yet everything comes crashing down like a pack of cards. That does not mean that God has failed in His promise to help us to succeed, but it is just that once in a while, such things are bound to happen for various reasons. One of the reasons great ideas fail is our inability to do our bits properly when nurturing or growing our great dreams. Everything has a life cycle of conception, birth, growth, maturity, and death. When we give birth to a child, we have to nurture the child and give adequate care to ensure that the child grows strong and good. If the child falls sick, we must give the necessary medication to cure him. Also, when the child is hungry, we have to give him food. We also have to give other basic things of life to the child. Without food, medicines and other basic things at the appropriate time, the child might not survive for too long. That in itself does not mean that God did not want the child to live or that God has failed in His promise to keep the child alive. It is basically because we have also failed in our human responsibility towards the child. Same applies to your dreams. You must perform your human roles properly at the right time, while leaving the rest to God in prayers and supplications. Therefore, at every point in time in the course of manifesting your desires or plans, do everything humanly possible to sustain your goals. The efforts you put in will determine how far God would move with you.

Today is another day to move forward with your goals. Believe first in yourself as deserving and capable of receiving the blessing from God, and then ask God to go with you all the way.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today, I stand on the authority of your word in Isaiah 41:10 and I declare that all my fears and doubts are gone, and I am greatly empowered and strengthened by your spirit. Father, I decree victory, success, and breakthrough to my life today. AMEN.
