YOUR TIME OF DIVINE VISITATION IS HERE! (PART 2 OF 2)

21st OCTOBER 2020

“Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people…the Dayspring from on high has visited us” (Luke 1:68,78)

Today, we continue the message on “your divine visitation is here”. One important thing you must bear in mind is that God would always arise to protect His own in the midst of chaos, anarchy and uncertainty.  When a change is about to occur, there is bound to be a breakdown first, and then a reconstruction next. Therefore, God may choose to visit His people in the days of chaos, in order that His plan and purpose for them will be fulfilled. Day by day, we move towards the day of God’s visitation to us!

When God is about to do something extraordinary in our lives, He moves on our behalf, or cause a situation to occur, or things to shift for us.  Today’s word tells us that, the power of God which causes magnificent change to occur in our lives, happens not because we deserve it—it is on the basis of Jesus’ shed blood, and the Father’s favour and mercy. Therefore, although we cannot earn His visitation—however, we can position ourselves to enter into what the Father wants to do for us. The key to having a Divine visitation lies in our relationship with God; The day of the Lord’s visitation will surely come because He is a merciful God! A change happens with the removal of the old, in order that the new will be established. Nevertheless, when that time of God’s visit comes, we must be alive in the spirit and physically prepared to receive His blessings.

We can position ourselves for divine visitation as follows:

·        Understand God’s Timing: The primary key to experiencing Divine visitation lies in understanding the timing of God. We must be able to understand that it is God’s time to act and that God is moving to manifest something extraordinary for us. When it is God’s time to act in your life, then you must position yourself to receive it by faith. This is due to the fact that God always desires to bring people closer to Himself, to fill us with His Spirit, to act at the right time. Our faith at this point, therefore, will make a way for a timely manifestation according to His plan and purpose. For instance, it was God’s time to act in the following instances:

ü Sarah’s pregnancy with Isaac

ü The four hundred years in Egypt come to its conclusion

ü The seventy years in Babylon complete.

ü The birth of Jesus

In the above examples still, the faith and the readiness of the people to allow God to manifest His will matters a great deal. That means we also need to see as Jesus did, what the Father is doing ‘now.’ (John 5:19), in order to be positioned to receive from Him! Therefore, when we are confronted with any situation, ask, “Father, what are you doing right now in my life, or why have you caused this situation to arise in my life?”.

·        Pray in the Season of Divine Visitation: When God is set to do something great for us, and things have started to unfold somehow, then we must pray fervently still. That means, even though God’s time has come already to bless you, you must pray still, asking for a perfect and timely delivery of what God has promised to do for you. The Scripture says, ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.’ (Jer 29:13) The prophet Zechariah put this well when he said, ‘Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain.’ (Zech 10:1) The prophet was saying in effect that, when it’s God’s due time, pray nevertheless! When we pray in this situation, we acknowledge that we cannot fulfil God’s plan through our own efforts alone. We need His help. When that prayer is answered, Jesus gets the credit, the glory for what takes place.

 ·        Follow God through the acts of obedience: When we have prayed, we must also be ready to act in obedience to God’s directive on how to manifest His blessings for us. Simply put, if God asks us to do something specific, an act of obedience can bring a powerful breakthrough to us. (1 Samuel 17). Also, God provided food for a widow and her son, but first, she had to give away the last of what she had to Elijah (1 Kings 17:7-16). Sometimes, however, it is not about doing anything except simply receiving—equally an act of obedience. Note also that we are His sons and daughters, and what we receive from Him, we receive by inheritance.

Today I declare that its time to experience a divine visitation upon your life, your family, work, region and ministry. A Divine visitation that will cause a chain reaction leading to generational blessings in your life!

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for your divine visitation upon me this day. Grant me your power to accept your coming and let the joy of your salvation ring in my soul. Father, to this day, I had waited anxiously to receive from you. Therefore, grant me the worthiness to accept your glory as it shines om me from this day onward. I receive you totally today, and I am completely restored. AMEN.
