A NEW CHAPTER OF CHANGE AND GROWTH FOR YOU THIS NEW YEAR
As we step into the new year, many of us may be carrying the burdens of the past year, feeling stuck in a spiritual wilderness, or uncertain about what the future holds.
Beloved, its time to hold to the God of new beginning. We must take hold of the promise in Isaiah 43:19. The verse reminds us that God is constantly at work, bringing forth new things in our lives. It encourages us to be attentive and expectant, knowing that God is about to do something remarkable. Just as the sunrise brings light to dispel darkness, God’s new thing in our lives brings hope and renewal.
Today’s word calls us to do the following:
Letting Go of the Past
The new year offers an opportunity to leave behind the burdens and disappointments of the past. Just as God promises to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, He invites us to release our grip on what has been and embrace what is to come. By surrendering our past to Him, we make space for His new work in our lives.
Embracing God’s Sovereignty
In uncertain times, it can be easy to succumb to fear and anxiety about the future. However, Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is in control. He is the one who makes a way where there seems to be no way. As we enter the new year, let us anchor our hearts in the truth of God’s sovereignty, trusting that He will lead us into a prosperous future.
Seeking God’s Guidance for the New Year
As we embark on this new season, let us seek God’s guidance for the path ahead. Just as rivers flow through the desert, bringing life and sustenance, God’s direction nourishes our souls and leads us toward prosperity. Through prayer and reflection on His Word, let us align our hearts with His purposes for this new year.
Walking in Expectation
Finally, let us walk in expectation of what God is about to do. The promise of a new thing springing forth fills us with anticipation and hope. As we journey through this year, may we carry with us a sense of wonder at the work of God unfolding in our lives.
In embracing Isaiah 43:19, we position ourselves to experience an awesome and prosperous new year, filled with the goodness and faithfulness of our loving Heavenly Father.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE:
1. Pray for open eyes and a receptive heart to perceive the new things God is doing in your life.
2. Reflect on areas where you may feel stuck or in a spiritual wilderness. Trust that God is making a way and
3. Believe in His ability to bring forth streams of blessings.
PRAYERS:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I come before you with an open heart and mind, seeking your guidance and direction for the new year.
