The Great Commission: Sharing the Good News
Jesus gathers his disciples on a mountaintop. The scars on his hands, a testament to his sacrifice, are now badges of victory. Here, he issues a powerful commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” A surge of purpose courses through the disciples. The risen Christ breathes new life into their mission, empowering them to share the good news with the world.
Benefit: The resurrection compels us to become active participants in God’s work. We are called to share the transforming message of Jesus with those around us.
Action Step: Think of someone who might be interested in hearing about your faith. Pray for them and consider how you might share your story naturally and authentically.
Prayer: Father, ignite a passion within me to share the good news of your Son. Guide me to those searching for truth and equip me with the words to speak. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Further Exploration: Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15-18
