DREAM WITH YOUR EYES OPEN

June 1st 2019

“Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it] will certainly come and will not delay”. - Habakkuk 2:2-3

All of us do dream, whether at nights when asleep or during what I would here refer to as CREATIVE THOUGHT PROCESS. Creative thought process happens basically when we are awake, conscious and are just thinking and imagining for ourselves a whole lot of possibilities. These are imaginations but fueled with some elements of determination to make them happen. The difference between the two is that night dream happens when we are unconscious and asleep. We wake up in the day to discover that it was just a dream. Except we truly believe such to be revelations, they usually fade out with time. What happens eventually is that the night dreamer is unable to realize his dreams – He easily gets frustrated with the day to day circumstances. However, creative thought process is different. It starts with a hunch or a revelation. This immediately makes us to begin to process and imagine various possibilities to realize the dream.

In this case, although you may face numerous setbacks and failures, you are willing to tread the path of self-actualization, and to both discover and conquer personal limits. In your upward movement, you are NOT worn out, even though tired; you see the long and winding road of personal transformation as a worthwhile experience. The word of God is telling us today to open our mind to God’s revelation during contemplation and meditation on His word. This is what is meant by dreaming with eyes open to God’s word. To dream with eyes open is to: ONE, allow your imagination and the desires that God put in your heart to flow out freely, opening your mind and heart to endless possibilities for success. TWO, Get focused on your imagination and desires. THREE, write down your vision – this helps you to persist in the direction of your dreams when you are too tired, caught in disappointment, or not seeing immediate results. FOUR, decide what you’re going to do to get there - You have people to meet, conversations to start, plans to draft emails, and to send them, etc.; create a priority list of the action steps you need to take right now – and hit the ground running. FIVE, start work on your project. As you work, pray and have faith, see success at the end of the road.

Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask that you cause my vision to manifest in accordance with your word. Like Habakkuk, I shall wait for the fulfillment of your promises for me. I declare I shall not be tired, worn out or weary while I wait on you. AMEN
