EMBRACING THE MAGNIFICENCE OF GOD IN HIS CREATION

JANUARY 11th 2018

Today’s Scriptures: “For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” -Romans 1:20

Knowing God through creation is one confused aspects of the Christian faith. Some years back, a certain man involved as a bible translator tried to convince me regarding the topic. He spoke very well on psalm 19 and concluded that the voice of creation speaks of God’s glory loud and clear, and no one can miss hearing it. We can only refuse to believe what we hear or see and that nature has no language or distance barriers in it abilities to communicate the revelation of God. I then asked; “If God’s creation speaks to all people everywhere, then why do we need missionaries like him to talk about God to us? What is very clear to me is that, although God is SPIRIT, His divine nature is clearly seen from His creation. However, this does not mean that nature can give us saving knowledge of God. We need to send missionaries with the gospel to share about Christ so that people can come to this great and wonderful God who has revealed himself so clearly in creation.

The word of God is telling you today that, God may be invisible, but His invisible qualities are clearly revealed. Example; the size and complexity of the skies and the heavens containing the sun, the moon and the stars, shows God’s eternal power. The beauty and order and design of creation show God’s divine nature. Embrace God in nature today, by moving close to the mountains or walk through the woods or near the ocean. Nature has been found to reduce stress. Viewing scenes of nature reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones. It is now widely canvassed that our environment be made greener with trees and pastures, in order to aid healing of diseases and for psychological balance.

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the gift of nature, and the revelation of your divine natures in all your creation. Thank you father, for your creation keeps me and protects me. Therefore, I declare that the sun will not smith me by day, neither will the moon hurt me by night. Lord, I fear no natural disasters, for nature proclaims your glory and praises you. Therefore, I am safe and protected under the ambience and serenity of nature, AMEN
