GOD’S SPIRITUAL LOVE DEMONSTRATED THROUGH CHRIST

Reflect on the spiritual compulsion of Christ’s love, which motivates us to live for Him. Through His death, we died to our old selves and are now compelled by His love to live for Him who died for us.

REFLECTION:

In 2 Corinthians 5:14, the Apostle Paul talks about how Jesus Christ’s love for people is so strong that it changes everything. When Jesus died on the cross, he made a special connection between God and humans that can never be broken. This connection goes beyond just our physical world; it reaches into our spirits and souls, giving those who believe in Jesus a whole new way of living. Jesus’ love isn’t just something that sits there quietly. It’s like a powerful force that makes things happen inside us. People who believe in Jesus don’t just watch this amazing thing from the sidelines; they actively take part in changing themselves by accepting Jesus’ love. This decision to accept his love brings about a big transformation in their lives, guiding them towards doing what is right and becoming more like God.

ADDITIONAL VERSE: “And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” – 2 Corinthians 5:15

MEDITATION: Meditate on the spiritual transformation that occurs when we live for Christ instead of ourselves. Surrender your desires and ambitions to Him, allowing His love to compel you to live for His glory.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the spiritual transformation brought about by Christ’s love. Help us to live not for ourselves, but for Him who died for us and rose again. Amen.

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi was born in Nigeria to Patrick Abuda Obeakemhe and Juliana Fatimatu Obeakemhe, both from Ogbona Town. With a master’s degree in law, she was called to the bar at the age of twenty-two, and she is currently the principle partner of the law firm Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi & Associates. She is also the founder of two philanthropic organizations: the Living Waters Mission and the Rose Croix Foundation. In addition to law, Lawrence-Dokpesi was drawn to spiritual pursuits at an early age, having begun studying philosophy, theology, chaplaincy, and spirit therapy by the age of eighteen. Inspired by her spiritual calling, she has produced ten intensively researched manuscripts on spiritual matters. Although Understanding the Spiritual was the last to be written, it is the first to be published. Lawrence-Dokpesi is a mother and a wife living in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.
