THEME: YOU ARE NOT ALONE (PART 2 OF 7)

  WEDNESDAY 28TH FEBRUARY 2024

AUTHOR: MARY LAWRENCE – DOKPESI

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES:

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes?” – Matthew 6:25

 HUNGER AND NEED?

Facing material struggles can bring feelings of despair and fear about tomorrow. Yet, God promises to provide for His children. Let us not place our trust in possessions but in His unfailing provision. While the Bible emphasizes that our basic needs are important, it encourages us not to let them consume our worry. (Matthew 6:25)

When you are in dire need, do the following:

1.     Shift Your Focus: Instead of dwelling on what you lack, place your trust in God’s provision. He cares for your well-being, and He is faithful.

2.     Practice Gratitude: Recognize the blessings you already have, even the seemingly small ones. This cultivates a positive perspective and strengthens your trust in God’s goodness.

3.     Share with Generosity: Even in times of scarcity, sharing what you have, however little, can be transformative. It showcases faith, strengthens the community, and opens doors for God to work miraculously.

4.     Seek Guidance:  Pray for wisdom and discernment. Ask God to reveal opportunities to provide for your needs and guide you on your path.
Remember, faith doesn’t erase challenges, but it equips you to face them with resilience and trust.

PRAYER:

Lord, I am worried about my basic needs. Help me trust in your provision and show me ways to be resourceful. Guide me towards solutions and fill me with your abundance, not just materially, but in spirit and community. Amen.
