PENTECOST: POWER UNLEASHED

Fifty days after the resurrection, a powerful wind fills the upper room where the disciples gather. Tongues of fire appear above their heads, and they begin to speak in languages they had never learned. This event, Pentecost, marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the early church. A wave of energy surges through the room, empowering the disciples. They feel a boldness they’ve never known, a burning desire to share the message of Jesus.

BENEFIT: The Holy Spirit empowers us for ministry, equipping us with the gifts and abilities we need to serve God and share his love.

ACTION STEP: Pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Ask him to reveal your spiritual gifts and guide you in using them to serve others.

PRAYER: Come, Holy Spirit, fill me with your power. Guide me to understand and use the gifts you have bestowed upon me for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
