REMOVING THE VEIL OF BITTERNESS – GET INTO THE NOW

JANUARY 7th 2018

Today’s Scriptures: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.” - Ephesians 4:31

Bitterness is a serious trauma which results when we dwell in the flesh instead of the spirit. We become bitter when we feel that a situation is out of our control. For instance, you may feel bitter because: People had taken you for a ride or thought you were stupid; or taken away from you something of great value or even denied you of a seemingly good opportunity for growth, etc. When we are bitter, we tend to transfer aggression and destroy things around us. We even create unnecessary tension at home and in our environment. In the long run if not curtailed, bitterness can lead to serious terminal ailment, sleeplessness, low self-confidence, negative personality shifts, and an inability to have a healthy relationship. DO THESE TO CONTROL BITTERNESS:

1. Talk only to those who will help you overcome bitterness. Telling what happened in a negative way to everyone is often a form of keeping yourself stuck in victimhood.
2. Forgive everyone involved in what caused you bitterness; genuine forgiveness is a key to healing. Accept your faults in what happened, and forgive yourself as well.
3. Instead of fantasizing about revenge or thinking about where you would have been if things had gone differently, GET INTO THE NOW, concerning yourself with current opportunities and goals.

Today, the word of God says: you should stop thinking about the job you have lost and those who made you to lose it; Think no more of your disability, but focus on effective rehabilitation; forget about the promotion your colleague won in the office instead of you, and seek other things that would open new doors of growth. God is telling you to move away from what you cannot change, and see the brighter side of life. God is capable of healing your bitterness by opening for you, a fountain of LOVE and peace. He will reveal His golden light which lies behind the veil of your bitterness. AMEN.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I remove from my heart this minute, every root of bitterness meant to cause me trouble and to defile me or deny me of your love and power. Therefore, I declare every wrath, anger; clamor, slander and malice in my heart dissolved NOW. Lord, I decree by reason of your anointing, every gall of bitterness in my life is broken today. Father, I declare I am completely delivered from the yoke of iniquity, untruth, resentments and arrogance. Thank you father for I am sanctified. AMEN.
