THE GOD OF LAST MINUTE

16th MAY 2021

“Therefore, the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.” – Isaiah 30:18

Again, this topic has become very necessary to help us navigate out of the present days’ confusion and hardship. You probably have heard that God is a last-minute God and that He performs miracle at the last minute when everyone thinks that the chapter is closed. This topic usually looks so beautiful on paper, but the experience we go through during trials could be painful and harrowing; so many people have derailed and done some negative and ungodly things because they were unable to wait for God till the last minute. It is not really that God stretches our faith to the end before He performs His miracles. It’s just that in between our waiting on Him and His answering, He expects us to do certain things and take specific steps for Him to roll out His miracles.

We usually delay in these aspects. Therefore, we must listen carefully to God during the period we are waiting on Him. There is something fundamental that God is saying to us during this period of waiting, which we must quickly grab to move to the next level of healing or achievement. God could be saying one of these three (3) things:

· I will do as you say, but you have to wait a little longer when the time is ripe to deliver your gift to you.

· I will not do precisely as you desire but will surely do something else that you will equally appreciate.

· The condition I need to enable me to perform this miracle is not in place. You will have to do certain things first.

So, when you pray, also try to hear from God. During moments of crises, his revelation to us is the power that we need to get out of problems. Such revelations usually serve as a springboard of energy leading to a total deliverance from our daily troubles. The present days are pretty tough, with so many losing their jobs and company folding up. Rather than fret and get anxious or worried, I want to remind us instead that this is a time to trust God more and be submissive to Him. It is a time to have hope in God and be assured that God will certainly take care of your tomorrow. Beloved, God will make way for us through the red sea or the desert. He will take us to our final destination of fulfilment at the most appropriate time.

Therefore, bring to His Presence all your problems and anxiety on each passing day, especially those age-long problems, whatever they are; have faith that God will make way for us to have a positive testimony in no distant time. God will do that which only He can do because He is God. The word of God is telling us today to listen carefully to hear from God during periods of waiting and take His lead so that He may answer us in good time. When you pray, also listen to take instructions from God. Also, endeavour to move in the direction that God wants us to go.

Therefore, note that no matter how long the dark tunnel might seem, God is with us on each step we take, and He will cause new dawn to break on us. Therefore, in God, there is no emergency, for every crisis will wait for His final pronouncement. When you are waiting on God, your condition or situation does not get worst. When we cry out to Him, He immediately takes dominion and preeminence over every situation, and when the final answer comes, every bad situation will change to become good. Therefore, do not be anxious! Only believe and obey!

Finally, remember that timely obedience to God during waiting periods would quicken healing or bring about miracles in good time. Therefore, God is a God of possibilities and full of mercy. He is always there for us at any time, even up till the last minute!

PRAYERS

In the name of Jesus Christ, Father, I trust and put my faith in you without wavering. Each time I looked up to the Hills, I am confident you control all my affairs because you neither sleep nor slumber. Lord, I forgive all those who offended me this minute, and I offer myself as a living sacrifice to thee. Therefore, I declare I am fit and well-positioned to receive from you now. Thank you, father, for your answered prayers. AMEN.
