UNBROKEN LOVE – RESOLVING INTERNAL CONFLICT

JANUARY 8th 2018

Today’s Scriptures: The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. – 1 Corinthians 2:14

It is not possible to go through life without experiencing an inner conflict between doing what is right and that of doing what is not right. The nature of the flesh is to commit sin and become liable to punishment under the law. Some inner conflicts occur when we find ourselves having to choose between two desires—one of a more selfish nature, the other of a more unselfish nature. For instance, finding yourself in very tight situation where you had no choice but to convert the property of another for your personal gains, without the permission of the owner. Sometimes, internal conflicts involve making a difficult choice between good conduct and bad conduct. At some other times, it has to do with choosing between two conflicting loyalties, such as loyalty to a friend and loyalty to justice or honesty. Either way, we experience internal conflicts in trying to make a choice.

As children of God, we are expected to maintain a healthy mind by cleansing our minds and hearts from the devil’s manipulations. But this is usually not possible if we do not place reliance on Christ. Those in Christ are new creation and Christ lives in us, living out a life of righteousness, thereby setting us free from the bondage of condemnation and punishment under the law. If we continue to live with internal conflicts, we deny ourselves of God’s love and His Grace. Therefore, anytime you realize that you made a bad move—possibly one that resulted in someone getting hurt, or one in which your conscience had been battered, move quickly to make up for it as soon as possible. That is one way to heal the pain of such inner conflict. Thereafter, you must be ready to open up to receive divine love and wisdom by inviting Christ to enter and dwell in your heart. If you allow love to fill your hearts regularly, internal conflict will have no place in you. Therefore, hold on to Christ and let his righteousness and blood truly redeem you.

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ and his righteousness. Today, I declare I am sanctified; therefore, the flesh has no power over me anymore. Lord, I rebuke every evil manipulations of my conscience and I declare my heart is clean and there is no condemnation against me. AMEN.
