UNION WITH CHRIST IN SPIRITUAL DEATH AND RESURRECTION

REFLECTION:

The Christ Spirit, the path to spiritual perfection, isn’t solely a gift or a choice, but both. We receive the knowledge of Christ, a gift, but to awaken the Christ Spirit within us, we must choose to actively “live in Christ.” This personal decision embarks us on a journey with Jesus, from his birth to his resurrection. By embracing this path, we gain the power to conquer darkness and achieve oneness with God, where true potential is unlocked. The journey offers Christ’s light, dispelling evil, disease, and ignorance, and granting us the strength to overcome anything.

“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.”

MEDITATION:

Imagine yourself deeply connected to Christ, sharing in his death and resurrection. As you contemplate this spiritual union, let your awareness of Christ’s presence within you grow stronger. Open your heart to the transformative power this connection offers. With this newfound strength, I willingly and deliberately choose to follow Jesus on the path to perfection. Let the power flow through you, empowering you to embody the spirit of Christ on Earth.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for the spiritual union we share with You through Your death and resurrection. Help us to fully embrace this reality and live in the power of Your indwelling Spirit. Amen.

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi was born in Nigeria to Patrick Abuda Obeakemhe and Juliana Fatimatu Obeakemhe, both from Ogbona Town. With a master’s degree in law, she was called to the bar at the age of twenty-two, and she is currently the principle partner of the law firm Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi & Associates. She is also the founder of two philanthropic organizations: the Living Waters Mission and the Rose Croix Foundation. In addition to law, Lawrence-Dokpesi was drawn to spiritual pursuits at an early age, having begun studying philosophy, theology, chaplaincy, and spirit therapy by the age of eighteen. Inspired by her spiritual calling, she has produced ten intensively researched manuscripts on spiritual matters. Although Understanding the Spiritual was the last to be written, it is the first to be published. Lawrence-Dokpesi is a mother and a wife living in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.
