EASTER AND THE MYSTERY OF THE HOLY BLOOD (PT II)

April 1st and 2nd 2018

“ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind “- John 1:1-4

At this period of the year – specifically between March and April every year, Easter is celebrated worldwide. The period has come again! Happy Easter beloved in Christ! Congratulations and happy celebration. The question has always been asked by many, “why do we celebrate Easter”? Or better still, what is the significance of Easter”? You have heard it stated so many times that the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ is the essence of God – the WORD of God who created the entire universe in terms of everything seen and unseen; the scriptures also says the WORD of God is God (John 1:1-4) The word of God is Eternal – having ability to live forever! The word is present in all things. The word preserves creation and continuously renews creation and all things. The reason the world is in existence, visible and preserved and intact is because everything is imbued by the WORD. The reason you are alive is because God’s spirit – the word is in you. If not for the word, the trees, leaves, soil and water would either decay, rotten or cease to be in existence. The word of God became flesh as Jesus Christ. This is a miraculous expression of the total divinity of God in human form. There is no difference between Jesus Christ and God the father – except in functionality – for Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God. During His passover celebration with His disciples, Jesus, substituted the bread with His flesh, and the wine with His blood (Luke 22:13 - 20). Henceforth, by faith, the Holy Communion has become THE ACTUAL BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, and when taken or celebrated as such, signs and wonders take place. First, there would be a manifestation of the whole power of God in our life – for the power that created the universe is immediately released into our life, for healing, illumination, forgiveness of sins and general wellbeing.

It does not stop at that; anywhere the cup of salvation is raised in a Holy Communion service, it has the effect of renewing the entire creation, and the world benefits from this wonderful exercise. At Easter therefore, first, we celebrate Jesus Christ as the creator and preserver of the whole universe. Second, we give thanks to God for the continuous existence of the whole world. Third, we celebrate the gift of salvation to man; the gift of eternal life to man. Recall that man ought to perish as a result of sin. But God, through His WORD – Jesus Christ, gave his blood to repurchase for us a new life – eternal life in Christ. Easter reminds us that, with God, nature would remain, and humanity would prosper for such is the mandate of the WORD of God - to give us eternal life, and to protect and keep the whole universe strong, purified and whole for as long as God desires it to be so. Jesus says He is the bread of life, if any man eats Him, He shall not die. This shows that Jesus is the AUTHOUR OF LIFE. Jesus is the power of God that permeates all things; He owns all powers in heaven and on earth, and He is the head of all cosmic forces. The scripture is telling us today that the power of God that created all things, preserving and renewing all natures perpetually, and granting humanity eternal life, is the ETERNAL WORD of God; the word is God himself and Jesus Christ is a physical manifestation of that Great Spirit and power of God. BELOVED, ONCE AGAIN, I SAY HAPPY EASTER!

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today, I align with the cup of salvation; grant me a new life in Christ. Father, transform every situation in my life in consonance with thy word. Lord, I pray this day for your goodness and mercy. I shall fulfill every good work you have started in my life. I shall not lack or fall by the wayside. I shall fulfill every of your plan and purpose for me. AMEN. AMEN.
