HE LIVES IN YOU!

14th MAY 2020

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul – Genesis 2:7

God is in you as well as in all things. So many people get challenged by this simple statement, apparently due to a faulty reasoning that God is a physical Being, but bigger than an ordinary human Being. But on the contrary, God is not a physical Human. God is Spirit whose essence or presence covers the entire expanse of the universe or the multiverse if you like. The scripture says that God is everywhere at all times and He inhabits (dwells in) eternity (Jeremiah 23: 23 – 33) This means that God is eternal and has no beginning or an end. This further means that God is not limited by space or time. This is why, perhaps, God’s divine spirit is present everywhere and, in all things, whether visible or invisible! (Psalm 139:7-10)

If God is everywhere, He certainly dwells also in you. In fact, the reason YOU ARE alive is because you are a living soul, energized by the divine spirit of God. Therefore, God is in you, and He is also present in all other human Beings. Aside being a part of you, God’s presence everywhere means that he is completely integrated into ALL THINGS. But why does God dwell in us? God manifests in us to give us life, health, and vitality; To give us a sense of spirituality as well as creating one of His kind who will aspire to be like God. With God in us, we are closely bonded with God, endowed with the power to overcome danger and all other adverse conditions. Consequently, we are given the authority to create our desires, and to live in eternity just like God.

Today’s word tells us how God extraordinarily formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils to give him life. This, of course, is the climax of God’s creative work, in that both man and God actually share one life and spirit. This also means that you are powerful beyond measures as you can simply connect with God in you in other to actualize any of your positive desires. With the power of the Holy Spirit, connecting with God becomes much easier for us, giving us the power to achieve great things. However, in order to be able to actualize our desires by the power of God in us, we need to constantly quicken the spirit of God in us and spur Him into action! How do we do that? Through meditation on God’s word at quiet times. By constant meditation on God’s word, we become infused with or attuned to the power of God in us, as well as the essence of the word of God. After a short while, we are sure to experience the blessings of that specific scriptural verse! The art of meditation on God’s word is simple to apply. For instance, you may apply the following process in your meditation:

  1.  Sit quietly in a place where you will not be easily disturbed.
  2.  Identify the specific promise of God that you want to materialize in your life.
  3.  Read the verse silently to yourself as many times as possible, making sure you understand the import of the verse.
  4.  Then proceed to visualize yourself receiving the promise from God; possess the promise and live it!
  5.  See yourself sharing your blessings with the rest of the world.
  6.  Simply see yourself incredibly happy and fulfilled!

During any period of meditation, our spirit is brought into perfect alignment with the Divine Spirit of God, as well as the particular verse chosen for the meditation. We are richly blessed during the short periods spent in meditation on God’s word. The great benefit of meditation is that the attention of the divine spirit of God is focused on manifesting our desires. In the process of meditation, we receive the Life, Light, and Love of God (Ref: Psalm 42:7)

 PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I know that you dwell in me and I in you. Infuse me with your omnipotent power today that I may experience the miracle of your positive transformation in all aspects of my life. Thank you, father, AMEN
