“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” – John 3:16-17
The greatest gift of God to the world is LOVE. It was by this token that God reconciled the world to himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus became the ransom for the reconciliation between God and man. Otherwise, we would have been destroyed by sin, disease, ignorance and poverty. God’s reconciliation brought life, peace and grace to man.
Man and God are together in the ministry of reconciliation. This emphasis was made by Jesus when he gave the two greatest commandments in Mark 12:30 – 31. In obedience to these commandments, we ought to reciprocate God’s universal love by loving God and loving our neighbours. Also, in Mathew 5:24, Jesus says we must reconcile with our brothers before we can give offerings.
Today, the word of God is reminding us that love is the key to our individual and collective healing. Through love, God brought peace, healing and forgiveness to us. The love of God through Jesus removed suffering and death from the world. It is now our turn to restore God’s love on earth through reconciliation with one another. That is very important to remove suffering and deaths from our families and in the world at large. When we allow the power of love to overcome selfishness, jealousy, envy and hatred, the world will experience a supernatural shift that will usher in a new age where justice, righteousness and love will dominate individual and collective ideologies. On that day, love will take the place of vengeance, hate, envy, jealousy and the quest for power.
Therefore, beloved, cultivate the power of love in your lives. Give unconditional love freely! Let love rule your affairs.
PRAYER
Lord, by the blood of Jesus Christ, and His righteousness, I reconcile and make peace with all things, whether on earth or in heaven. Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today I tap into thy Spirit to express pure love like never before. I give willingly of myself and my treasure to serve the greatest needs of your kingdom and to the service of humanity. Father by thy power, I declare I am worthy to partake in the ministry of reconciliation as a worthy servant in thy kingdom. Today, I declare it is well with me, and everything I hold dear is safe and well. AMEN.
